2019 PROGRAMME ANNOUNCED

We are excited to announce the release of the 2019 NZ Petroleum Conference Programme. Which be viewed here.

Each year the conference highlights and defines the issues, challenges and opportunities for upstream petroleum exploration and development on a national and international level.

The 2019 Petroleum Conference will consist of plenary sessions and two concurrent streams covering the following topics:

  • Geoscience
  • Technology and Engineering
  • Community, Commercial and Regulatory

PARTNERSHIP AND EXHIBITION OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE NOW

Partnership and Exhibition opportunities are now available for the 2019 New Zealand Petroleum Conference.

There are a limited range of partnership packages available, designed for all budgets and each with a range of benefits.  Due to the limited number you will need to move quickly to secure one.

Exhibition booths provide exhibitors with a dedicated space within the Conference venue to promote their brand and services and interact with key decision-makers and influencers in the petroleum sector.

If you are interested in finding out more about the conference including details such as dates and location, please complete an expression of interest form.

Once your application is received and processed we will provide further information on the conference location and dates or contact you for more information.

Please note this is a separate form from registering to attend the 2019 Conference, which can be done once your expression of interest is approved.

FINAL REMINDER: CALL FOR ABSTRACTS CLOSE 5 APRIL, 5pm

PEPANZ and the Conference Programme Committees wish to remind you that the final day for abstract submissions is this Friday 5 April. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to be a part of the program to share your knowledge, experience and solutions at the 2019 New Zealand Petroleum Conference.

The conference theme for 2019 is Responding to Change and the programme will consist of plenary sessions and two concurrent streams covering the following topics:

  • Technology and Engineering
  • Geoscience
  • Community, Commercial & Regulatory

These streams will include a selection of speakers from the call for abstracts, keynote speakers and a limited number of others invited by PEPANZ and the Conference Programme Committees.

Presentation at the conference can be in either oral or poster format.  Abstracts submitted must include the proposed title, presenter photo and 200 word professional biography as well as a short 35–55 word blurb for the online programme.  Please note that audio-visual recordings of presentations made at the conference will be released online following the event.

KEY DATES

5 April, 2019 (this Friday) – Call for abstracts closes

17 May, 2019 – Confirmed oral and poster presenters are advised

 

For successful submissions:

6 September, 2019 – Deadline for receipt of poster content

13 September, 2019 – Deadline for receipt of slide packs for oral presentations

For the safety and security of all attendees, the dates and location for the 2019 Conference will only be released to those who have registered an Expression of Interest and are approved. Nominations are now open for the 2018 New Zealand Petroleum Conference Awards.

The New Zealand Petroleum Conference provide an opportunity to celebrate success within the oil and gas sector.

The New Zealand Petroleum Conference Awards, in partnership with Chevron, provide a unique opportunity for the industry to share and recognise success stories.

There are no entry forms to fill in just send an email outlining the project or initiative in a few short paragraphs.

We are calling for nominations in four categories:

Award for Exceptional Health, safety and Environmental Leadership
Awarded for an outstanding health, safety and/or environmental project or initiative carried out by an organisation operating in the New Zealand oil and gas sector during the 24 months up to 31 December 2017.
Award for Excellence in Community Partnership and Engagement
Awarded for a project or initiative that demonstrates an outstanding contribution and/or partnership that has delivered significant benefit to the community during the 24 months up to 31 December 2017.
Award for Outstanding Innovation in Oil and Gas
Awarded for an outstanding innovation in the New Zealand oil and gas sector during the 24 months up to 31 December 2017.

Winners will be announced at the 2018 New Zealand Petroleum Conference Gala Dinner (sponsored by Schlumberger) in Wellington on 27 March 2018.
